Dr. Sivasakthi Sellvam is a highly skilled primary care physician and certified occupational health doctor, with extensive experience in family medicine and women’s health.
After completing his housemanship and serving as an Emergency Medical Officer at Hospital Kuala Lumpur, he honed his skills in primary care at Klinik Kesihatan Rembau and in private practice. Do I need an appointment for an ultrasound?
No appointment is necessary. Walk-ins are welcome every day from 8am to 11pm. WhatsApping ahead helps us prepare and minimise your wait.
How early can I have my first pregnancy scan?
An early pregnancy (viability) scan can be done from as early as 6 weeks to confirm the pregnancy, check for a heartbeat, and rule out ectopic pregnancy.
Is a 4D ultrasound safe for my baby?
Yes. Ultrasound uses sound waves (not radiation) and is considered safe for both mother and baby when performed by a trained doctor.
What is the best time to get a 4D scan?
The ideal window for a 4D scan is between 26 and 32 weeks. At this stage, your baby has enough fat beneath the skin to produce detailed, clear images.
Do I need to prepare anything before my scan?
For early pregnancy scans, a moderately full bladder helps produce clearer images. For abdominal general scans, fasting for 4–6 hours may be advised. Our team will guide you when you book.
Will I receive images from my scan?
Yes. Digital images are provided after every scan. Printouts and a same-day doctor’s report are also available on request.
Do you accept insurance or corporate panels?
Yes, Klinik Medicura is on multiple TPA and corporate panels. WhatsApp us to check if your panel is covered before your visit.
